Dropbox accounts & billing

I should have a 25 Gb from a new HP laptop, but I can't access Dropbox from laptop installation - I have to go online and log in.
Lucky I read a couple of answers before I tried to reinstall Dropbox. (It said don't reinstall Dropbox or you invalidate the extra storage space!) And apparently so for first time users of Dropbox.
I still don't have the extra storage offered.
Would it not be simpler to just offer a prmotion code that will increase storage space for those of us who have Dropbox already? It just seems an empty offer.
So, any help please - how do I get the 25Gb of Dropbox space?

Thank You Rich - this worked straight away.
I feel so much better. I like it when a plan comes together! And I have the extra space offered.

I have a DB account, and the link you shared just loops back to where I started and doesn't take me to a redemption page at all
Do you have a current link as the DB site says this offer for HP is still valid
