How can I remove a account if it is login with google?

New member | Level 2

I am using a dropbox account login via hotmail. Now I want to change the email address to gmail.

However, it said that my gmail a/c is in use. So I wanna to remove my gmail a/c in dropbox.

There is no password if I login with google a/c. So the google a/c can't be removed.

How can I solve this problem?

Hi @Sharon Ng; welcome to the Dropbox Community!

Every Dropbox account has a password, regardless if you're using the 'Sign in with Google' option or not and you'll be able to verify this under the account's settings online

That said, if you don't remember the account's password or need to reset it, you can visit our website here:

From there, please enter the email address associated with your Dropbox account and you'll then receive an email from no-reply@dropbox.com with the steps to reset your password.

If you don't get this email in a reasonable amount of time, you can check your spam folder to ensure that no-reply@dropbox.com is not blocked while you can also add no-reply@dropbox.com to your address book and request another password reset email.

Let me know how it goes!
