How to upgrade from business trial to personal

Don't need a business account, but liked the free trial - but no one but me will use for the business, so Sales recommended a "professional" account. So, I cancelled the renewal, as instructed, opened and PAID FOR a professional account, and now the account only has the storage and features of a free account. What happened? Also, what happens to all of my files that were in the business account? Why doesn't Dropbox allow this upgrade path?

Hey there @admintie  - sorry to hear about this.

At first, it sounds like you created a new account (the one you're looking at) which you should be able to verify from your account's plan tab at:

If that's true indeed, you'll need to find which email address is associated with the charge you mentioned by using our self served look-up tool:

Once you find the email address used for your Dropbox Professional plan's purchase, please try to log into the account using that email address.

If you don't remember your password, or you need to reset it, you can visit our website here:

Please enter the email address associated with the upgraded Dropbox account (the one you found when using our self served look-up tool). You'll then receive an email from with the steps to reset your password.

If you don't receive an email after a reasonable amount of time, please check your spam folder to ensure that is not blocked. You can also add to your address book and request another password reset email.
