I can not reset my password

I can not reset my password

Hi,

I am trying to login to my account that I have not used in couple of years. I do not get the password resetting email even though I have it with two different emails that have received Dropbox emails before. This is a bit urgent matter so I’d appreciate fast response, thank you!

If you haven't used the account in a couple of years, it likely doesn't exist anymore. Accounts that are idle for more than a year are deleted due to inactivity. Dropbox send multiple emails before this happens.

Hmm, I checked and haven’t received any of those. Other emails yes though. So there is no way I can restore the files?

Hi @alexios, if you haven't logged into your account for 2 years, as @Rich stated, the account would have been deactivated.

This means it wouldn't be possible to recover the account or the files within.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
