I can't login to my account and have no access to that email, please help

Hi

Many years ago, and it's taken me this long to get around to sorting it (!), we had a dropbox account linked to an email address which was through a phone provider service that we cancelled.  So, even though I know that email address, when I tried to log into the dropbox account (I need to "forget password") of course it wants to send the forget password to that email address and of course it's been cancelled.  I did send a message to Support who just redirected me to the Help Centre.  Is there anything I can do please?

Hi @cowtown annie, thanks for messaging the Community!

 

I'm sorry to hear about this. Generally, in order to login to a Dropbox account, access to the email address is needed if you need to reset the password, or to verify the account with the support team. Without the access, it isn't possible to reset the password, since it can only go to the same address for security purposes.

 

Have you tried the steps in this article to see if they help with logging in?
