I can't reset my password due to too many attempts

Hi All,

 

I have the same problem as someone from December - I repeat the thread here because it seems it took the support team to respond:

 

"I did not manage to receive Reset Email from no-reply@dropbox.com. Already check the spam folder and Global whitelist no-reply@dropbox.com. After several tried to login with incorrect password, my account is blocked.

When I try to Reset my password again,  @ https://www.dropbox.com/forgot?

I got this error:

Too many incorrect attempts. Please try again in a few minutes.

How long I need to wait? Any support team able to assist me?"

 

I still have access to the email, but none of the password reset emails made it through.

Hi @spectda; welcome to the Dropbox Community and sorry to hear you're having issues with resetting your password. 

 

Since you’re not receiving the email to resest your password and already checked your spam folder too after whitelisting no-reply@dropbox.com, I'd suggest checking the exact spelling on the address you use for Dropbox next, and try the reset again as misspellings are one of the most common reasons for unreceived emails. 

 

If that's not the case, you can contact our support team through an incognito window (where you're logged out from your account) and ask for further (account specific) assistance following the 'Can't sign in' flow.
