I am trying to change the email address on my account. I have followed the procedure correctly and get a verification email in my new email inbox. This takes me to a log in page and it will only allow the log in using my old email address. Any ideas please?

Most likely the site requires you to sign in first to verify the account using the link from the email.
Once you sign in, then you’ll have the account verified.
