I couldn't sign into my account through the mobile app and now I'm missing my files

I had a dropbox account on my old phone it had all of my photos of family friends and documents. Then the dropbox app was un installed. When when i got my new phone i down loaded dropbox app and i couldnt sign in. I even changed my password and still nothing. It just created me a new account with nothing in it. HELP HELP HELP i don't know what to do i really need my photos and documents back HEEEEELP

If you created a new account using the same email address, it might have been closed due to inactivity.

 

Can you let me know how long has it been since you last accessed that account?

Thanks for confirming that @Warfaandhe.

 

Is it possible that you may have used another email address, or made a typo when entering it?

 

Do you have any emails from Dropbox previously in the email account you're using at the moment?

 

Also, are you signed into this Dropbox account from another other device still, or a web session on another device so that you can check the email address?

Daphne neither did i use a different email nor a typo one..
Yes am receiving emails on my current account....
Pictures can be taken but the documents are more important to me... heeeeelp
Where is the owner dropbox?????????

Can you let me know if you can try signing into Dropbox through the website, or another device, @Warfaandhe?

 

When you try and sign in through the mobile app, what is the error that you're getting?

Daphne the error i was getting was INCORRECT PASSWORD..
And when i changed the password it gave me a new account...
Yes i did open it with different device it just gave me the knew account

Hi @Warfaandhe, it sounds like you might have more than one Dropbox account. 

 

Could you try these steps to attempt to locate the other account, and let us know how it goes?
