I have a Basic account and don't know how I was charged

New member | Level 2

Hi Community

I have a basic dropbox account (free) yet was charged $115 this month and have no clue why.  It has been hell trying to get them on the phone to rectify the issue and/or to simply tell me what it was from.  I'm trying to avoid contesting it with my bank but that is the next step.  Has anyone encountered this before and how did you resolve it please?

Hey @lolitawalker, thanks for checking in with us and sorry to hear about your frustration.

In general, if you have unidentified Dropbox charges on your credit card, you can look up the email address and payment date associated with it with our credit card charge lookup tool.

To have a better look into this though, due to account-specific info required on the matter, contact our Support team via this link using an incognito window, without signing in.

If you'd like, you can also let me know the ticket ID you get (eg. #1234567) so that I can pass your comments along to the member of my team who’ll be reviewing this for you.

Don’t hesitate to get back to me if you have any other questions. Thanks!
