I have an inquiry about a fraudulent charge. What can I do?

Explorer | Level 3

I do not have an account but $199.00 keeps appearing on my account.  Has anyone else been having this problem?  There is no way to contact Dropbox except to ask for help from the community.

Hey @molly1 - how are you today?

I understand you notice some charge(s), even though you don't have an upgraded account - am I on the right track?

As billing inquiries are best handled through our Official Channels (where we'll be able to drill into your account specifics if needed), I'd suggest logging a ticket with our team directly through this page: https://www.dropbox.com/support

Ping me the ticket's ID here once you do and I'll get on it asap.

Thanks a bunch!

Where the heck is the "logging a ticket" link?

I also do not know how to "ping y ou the ticket number...."  You make a lot of assumptions about millenial and Gen Z tech skills.

Did you click the link? If so, you'll see that it takes you to the Dropbox Support system where you can open a support ticket requesting help. This is how you contact Dropbox about the erroneous charge.

You can also use the credit card charge look-up tool to see which Dropbox account is associated with a charge.
