Unexpected charges;

I signed on to Dropbox with the understanding that the product I selected was free. I now appear to have been billed $199. How come??

The only ways to be charged would be if you provided billing information, subscribed through a mobile device or failed to cancel a trial.

It sounds like you may have started a trial of a Professional account, which costs $199 per year. You would be automatically charged for a subscription if you failed to cancel the trial before it ended.

Hi,

I was not informed of the length of the trial or the date by which it had to be cancelled.

A trial of only about a week seems a little insufficient to me.

Contact support so they can tell you exactly what it was. Only they will have access to your account information and be able to see exactly why and how you were charged.
