I have multiple emails and accounts, and need help accessing my files

I have changed my work email. Both old and new addresses show up as linked to Dropbox, but I can't access the files I need.

I want to maintain my personal Dropbox; it is linked to a different email. 

All are Gmail addresses. Is this causing the trouble?

I was finally able to get the right page to sign out of the first account, and this time I could sign into the second one. User error, I am sure.

Hi @PaGe, thanks for posting on the Community!

 

In order to understand this matter further, could you let me know the following?

  • Do you have two separate Dropbox accounts, which should be under two different emails?
  • If so, do you have access to both those Dropbox accounts and the emails themselves?
  • If there is only one email account, can you see your files for both accounts there?
  • Do you have any shared folders to the second account?

Any further details you can provide would be great!

Yes, I have two separate Dropbox accounts. I actually have four different emails, but am trying to phase out two of them. 

 

I do not have access to the second Dropbox account. 

 

I initiated the first Dropbox account as my personal one, because I thought I had to do that in order to access the committee one. I was new to using Dropbox. 

 

I have shared folders to the second account. It is used by a writers' group to exchange meeting information.
