I'm getting an error when trying to sign in with Apple ID "no account matching" the email.

I'm getting an error when trying to sign in with Apple ID "no account matching" the email.

Explorer | Level 3

I have an existing Dropbox account. I just changed my Dropbox email to match my Appleid so I could use the login with Apple id option. I click on the button and use my fingerprint on my Macbook. The checkmark appears for success. Then I get a message saying there is no account matching some very long apple realeted email address. What am I doing wrong?

Hey there @WilliamD, I hope you're well today!

Can you just let me know where you're trying to sign in? Would this be through the website?

Also, in the error message do you see the email that's associated with your account, or does it appear with something along the lines of "@privaterelay.appleid.com"?

Yes. I was trying to login to the website. Yes the error message looked similar to the one you refer to. It was not my Apple ID email address.
