I'm having trouble signing in due to an unknown error

I cannot sign in to Dropbox;
Sign in failed.
Unknown error, please contact Dropbox customer support.
Not with my Google account, not with my password.

It was on my Acer 180 tablet. I tried to uninstall Dropbox and it came back without me installing it again and it is working now. Thanks for trying to help.

As a first step, could you clarify if you're trying to sign in from the website, the mobile app, or the desktop app?

Could you also send me a screenshot (without any personal info) of the error message?

Actually, I found out that Dropbox only works when I go back to the preinstalledversion for 4.4.2 android and then block further automatic updates. It says I got app version 2.3.11.2. Does anybody know the latest version number of Dropbox that works on 4.4.2 android?

Since you're using an Android, as shown in the Google Play store, the current version is 174.2.6. 

However, I'd recommend continuing to look into this via email to ensure troubleshooting.
