I'm not happy with the device limitation

New member | Level 2

I have had a dropbox basic account for many many years and have gotn 9.25GB of storage through referrals etc.  I do not need any more space and certainly not 2TB.  So the thought of paying almost £100 a year to be able to access DropBox on all my devices is not inany way atrractive.  As I linked my devices before the limit of three came into effect, it has not been an issue until now.  I just replaced my mac and now am unable to link to DropBox.   I would consider paying somethong, but not £100 a year  for soemthing I won't use.

Dropboxer

Hey there @Paul J.28, thanks for checking in with us - welcome aboard!

You're right, if you're on a Basic account and you'd like to link a new device, you'll have to unlink currently linked devices down to less than three before signing in to a new one via the desktop app or the mobile app.

You can, however, still navigate through your Dropbox account via the website.

You can also have a look at this thread where you can upvote and contribute alongside other users who request the availability of smaller plans.

I hope this helps to some extent!
