I'm under the impression that my plan was linked to unlimited storage. Is this happening?

I just got an email saying I was being upgraded for an extra $2 per month for 2TB. How is that a benefit when I had unlimited prior?

You didnt.... Dropbox has never ever had unlimited plans for consumers. The previous plan was 1TB for Plus and 2TB for Professional. Thats being upgraded by 1TB each. 

The only one that has had unlimited space is Advanced Business Plans (https://www.dropbox.com/plans) which start at $20pm for a minimum of 3 users.
