I thought I had cancelled my free trial but I got charged. Can I get a refund?

Hello,

 

I started a Dropbox account with a FREE 14-day subscription and I cancelled it on the 14th day. Unfortunately, my credit card was charged on that 14th day as well. Did I do something wrong? How do I get my credit card refunded?

Email from DROPBOX:

"Your trial ends on April 19, 2020. If you don’t cancel your free trial by that date, we’ll charge you $199.00 per year (including applicable taxes) until you cancel your plan. If you have any charges after your trial, they won’t be refunded when you cancel."

 

Upon cancellation on April 19, 2020, DROPBOX sent me this email:

"This email confirms that your Dropbox Professional plan will not renew at the end of your subscription.
You'll keep the additional space and features of your Dropbox Professional until Apr. 19, 2021."

When cancelling a free trial, you need to make sure that you follow these steps before the renewal date. 

 

However, to have a better look into this for you, I'd recommend contacting our team. You can check out your Support options from here
