I thought my Dropbox account has been closed in June, but apparently it isn't?

New member | Level 2

Hello. In May I received an email that my Dropbox account will be closed on June 18 2020, which is fine because I don't need the account anymore. So I assumed my account was closed since June 18. However, today I received an email about a change in a shared Dropbox folder. How is this possible? I thought my account was closed, yet I was still able to login and receive that email.

I just want my account closed...

Hi @Sharon_eioqi2; welcome to our Community!

To completely delete your Dropbox account, you'll need to follow the steps outlined in the relevant Help Center article:

https://help.dropbox.com/accounts-billing/create-delete/delete-account

I hope this helps and please let me know if you have any more questions.
