I used "Sign in with Google" by mistake when accessing Dropbox and my files are missing, any help?

I used to sign into dropbox via phone with my email and password. I accidnetally clicked "sign in with google" one time and it used the same email but all my files are gone. when I went to sign in regularly, instead of via google, all my files were gone and it was like a whole new account. Help please.

It shouldn't matter if you use another method like the "Sign in with Google" option when signing into Dropbox, unless you entered a different email address than the one you usually sign into Dropbox with by mistake.

Could you just clarify for me when was the last time that you accessed the account before you noticed the files were missing?

Is it possible that you created a new account by mistake? If this is the case, you would have the "Getting started with Dropbox" with the date that you signed in and the account was empty.
