If I cancel, I don't get a refund, but my sync stops immediately?

Helpful | Level 5

I'm on Dropbox Professional. I'm sick and tired of Dropbox policies (especially regarding refunds), as well as lack of recent development (except "Paper" being shoved down our throats, while there are more big problems that need to be solved).

I decided to cancel my subscription and move to Google Drive.

However, on the cancellation confirmation page I was told that all of my sync will stop immediately, which I understand means that my plan will be cancelled immediately. And that I will not get a refund either.

Is this true?

I would expect the service to at least work until the date I payed for (which is July 2020), even if I cancel now, since there are no refunds.

I've been thinking about cancelling Dropbox for a few years now, only to get a renewal confirmation and feeling "**bleep**, I forgot to cancel it again, now I have to wait for another year". So this year I decided to cancel ahead and looks like Dropbox decided to backstab me even here.

When you cancel a subscription, your account will be downgraded to Basic at the end of your billing cycle.
