If I delete my personal account, will it affect my professional account?

Hi out there,

I have had some headaches with having to flip back and forth between a personal and professional DB account. I've finally merged all my files into my professional account and want to delete the personal account. I'm nervous to do this, because the last time I had an account change with Dropbox, all my files got deleted and then had to be restored. This messed up the syncing to my local folder and has not worked quite right since.

 

My question: if I delete my personal account, will it impact my pro acccount, or are they completely separate and I don't need to worry?Secondly, can I think sync my pro account to my local folder so I can access my files from my desktop.

HI there @Bigbad; thanks for posting on our Community!

 

When you say Professional account, do you mean a personal account on the Professional plan or are you perhaps referring to the Dropbox for Business teams plans? 

 

In any case, deleting one account shouldn't be affecting any other account of yours, be it an individual one or one that's a member of a team account (even if you have connected your accounts). 

 

As per your last concern, I'm afraid you lost me there. Can you please clarify what are you trying to accomplish and/or what exactly is not working for you?
