Invite limit Error Please Help

I just started using dropbox for my new job yesterday, signed into my old account from 2016 and updated my information and password and what not, i tried to share a folder to a friend and got the error "You've hit the limit of invites you can send per day. Try again in 24 hours." but i havent shared a folder on this account since 2016. Tried again today and still the same issue. Can anyone please help me with this issue.
