Is Dropbox deliberately trying to stop its users from being able to sign in?

Explorer | Level 3

The password link reset takes me back to the same page which tells me that there have been "too many incorrect attempts" . When you try to click on the link that says "can't use this page to login" it sends you back to the page that says "too many incorrect attempts" - The solutions are so circular which leads me to believe that Dropbox no longer wants "basic" users like me. I can't be the only one to have this problem. All I am asking for is access to my account (a link that works to reset my password) so that I can move my content over to a different provider. The solution in this thread: https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Dropbox-accounts-billing/I-can-t-reset-my-password-due-to-too-many-a... does not work.

The solution in that thread is still accurate. I just tested it and was able to receive a password reset. Have you cleared your browser's cache/browsing history, or tried another browser yet?

I've tried 4 different devices. smart phone, desktop, tablet, and other desktop. The solutionr requires you to login first- and logging in is the basis of my problem and this thread (https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Dropbox-accounts-billing/I-can-t-reset-my-password-due-to-too-many-a...) shows that in the end, the user had to contact Dropbox through a different avenue in order to fix the problem. (Dropbox no longer provides support for basic accounts)
