I got an e-mail that had a link supposedly from Dropbox. I clicked on the "View Document" link, and it didn't work. Then I looked at the link and it was [Removed as per Community Guidelines]. But that doesn't look like a DropBox link!!! Can anyone tell me what's going on? Did I just install some virus on my comptuer by clicking on that link?
Hi @memymy, thanks for posting today!
It looks like this wasn't a genuine email from Dropbox. Since you clicked the link, there is a possibility that something else could have downloaded, so I'd recommend running a virus scan.
Just in case, if you did sign into anything, I'd also change your passwords for Dropbox, or even your email, as a precaution. I'd also recommend forwarding the email to abuse@dropbox.com for the team to look into it further.
If you need any further assistance, please let me know!
