It's telling me that my password is invalid when I try to change my email

It's telling me that my password is invalid when I try to change my email

New member | Level 2

Created a new dropbox for new profession.  My old dropbox for when I was a teacher combined with new.  At first I thought ok.  Somehow in a fix.  Used inaccurate email on new professional one and trying to email from present dropbox keeps insisting to verify account.  Once I saw inaccuracy, I clicked Update email.  Then it ask for Dropbox password,  then says it's invalid.  NO IT'S NOT! How do I clear this up.  I have completed same loop over and over and over.

Hi there @TWright, let's see what we can do on this. 

 

Could you just give me some additional details on this? For example, are you:

  • Trying to change the email address to one that is already associated with an existing Dropbox account? 
  • Entering the password that you connected to the existing Dropbox account or the other one?

Could you also send me a screenshot (without any personal information) of the error message?
