Locked out of account - email acct no longer exists

Hi I have an old Dropbox account that I’m trying to access. When I typed in the login info, it sent a two step password to the email account associated with it. Unfortunately that email account is no longer functioning. How can I regain access? Thank you!

Hey @Mmoritz312, thanks for reaching out.

To see what options you have, since you can't access your email address, you can check out this article.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks. I don’t see the answer for me though. I am unable to access the email account that it’s sending the code to because that email account is no longer active. I want to change the username/email acct associated so that I can access again the Dropbox. Thanks!

Without access to the email account I'm afraid there is no way to regain access to an account.

You either need to get access to that email or a device already logged in. Without one of those the account is lost.
