Logging into web browser with separate account

Logging into web browser with separate account

Hi,

Is it possible to log in to a Dropbox account using the web browser, while having a separate Dropbox account logged in to the computer on the desktop?

Many thanks

You can also just use a private browsing session/incognito tab, or a completely different browser, and be logged into multiple Dropbox accounts on the website. I regularly log in to 2-3 different accounts, while staying logged into my main account in my main browser session.

Hey @CatherineOS - thanks for posting your question in our Forum!

Yes, of course you can. All you have to do is sign out from the one you are already logged on and then sign in using the login credentials of the second account. Alternatively, you can use an incognito window for example if you use Chrome or Private Browsing for Safari and log into the second account directly.

I hope this helps C. If you have any further questions, do let me know. Thanks!

Thank you for the answer!

When you say to 'sign out from the one you are already logged on', do you mean on the web browser or the Desktop app?

The one that you're logged into via the browser. To do this:

  • Click the drop-down arrow on the top right corner of the Dropbox website (it should be your avatar or a smiley face if you don't have a picture associated with your profile).
  • Click "sign out".

You will now be able to sign into your other account normally.

Hope this cleared this up for you Catherine and please let me know if you need anything else!
