The first thought that came to my head was that it could be a different account that you were being notified about.
Did you check your Plan tab to see the subscription you're on, and the General tab to see which email it's connected to?
As for the charges, did you upgrade through your mobile device or our website?
If you did it through our web, did you use a credit card by any chance?
