Monthly licences on annual subscription

Monthly licences on annual subscription

Explorer | Level 3

Hi Community

I have an business account that is paid annually. I'd like to temporarily add new team members for a couple of months. But when I try to add licences it only offers me the annual fee option. How do I add two new users on a monthly basis without affecting my existing annual subscription for the rest of the team?

Thanks!

Mark

Hi there @Mark Slade, thanks for posting your question here!

Generally, the charges for your licenses are included in the annual payment that you have.

You can add a license at any point in time and schedule it's cancellation so that it's not charged on your next renewal.

However, your licenses will be on an annual cycle since your renewal is annual as well.

Nonetheless, would you be interested in a monthly subscription?

Looking forward to hearing back from you!

Thanks Lusil

If I understand correctly, I have two choices: 1) buy additional annual licences for balance of my subcription year and then reduce the number of licences before my renewal data; or 2) convert to monthly renewals for the entire account, and then add and remove new members as I please.

In scenario #1, would I be paying the pro-rata rate for the rest of my subscription year for each temporary member? That is, if I have nine months left before my renewal date, then adding a new user now will cost 9 months of the annual cost regardless of whether they need the account for 3 or 6 or 9 months?  Please confirm.

Best,

Mark

Thanks for getting back to us here @Mark Slade!

Those would indeed be the two options available here for what you'd like to do.

With the first option, you would pay the proportionate amount for the time remaining on your subscription, as you correctly mentioned.

You can then schedule the reduction in licenses, whenever needed, but this wouldn't take place until the next billing cycle (again, as you correctly mentioned above).

Hope this helps clarify the matter!
