My account downgraded, if I upgrade again will files be recoverable?

Hi,

My Dropbox subscription lapsed due to a relationship breakdown; we both just forgot it was there.

If I subscribe again, will the files be recoverable?

Yes, Dropbox never deletes your files as long as the account is active. You can login to Dropbox web https://www.dropbox.com and check the files. However, if your usage is over-quota, you cannot add new files and Dropbox will not sync with your devices. If you re-subscribe, you will get to add files or sync with your devices.

One thing to just add to this - files will be there that were there before (and you can see now at www.dropbox.com/home if you log in to the account). If, however, the account has been removed due to lack of use then its not recoverable even if you pay OR files deleted from it standard restore rules apply i.e. 30 days from day of deletion.
