My account is full after joining a shared folder, can someone help me out?

New member | Level 2

Hello, I have a brand account to drop box. My admin is not able to share any files with me because it says my storage is full- its not. Can anyone help me out? Thank you!

Dropboxer

Hi @Summeradela, thanks for posting on the Community!

It sounds like you have added a shared folder onto your account, which has then increased in size to above your normal quota level.

Since shared folders do take up quota on all active members’ accounts, you’ll need to remove the shared folder from your account using the steps here.

This should return your account to being underquota again, if you don’t have many files in your private folders.

Let me know how it goes!
