My account was deactivated without my permission

Hi - I just tried to log into my account with my normal email and I get an message saying the account doesn’t exist. I didn’t deactivate my account - it was Db plus and due to renew on Sept 1.

Hey @Jmeidl, thanks for reaching out to us. 

 

Could it be that you're using a different email address other than the one your Dropbox account is associated with? 

 

Since you mention that the account is on a paid subscription, you can look up the email address and payment date associated with it by using our credit card charge lookup tool.

Dropbox deactivated my account in error, it was flagged inactive but I used it daily

Dropbox deactivated my account in error, it was flagged inactive but I used it daily.  I never received a single message saying my account was inactive (bc it was not).  The DB help have only said it was deactivative bc it was inactive but my account was not inactive.  At all.  I am desperate to get access to my files bc I use them for my employment.  It has been over a week and I really need help!

Since you mentioned that you were using a Plus subscription, did you try out the steps mentioned by Lusil above? It will help us to check the email linked with the account that you were using for this subscription.
