My account was hacked, it says my credentials are invalid

My account was hacked, it says my credentials are invalid

Explorer | Level 3

I tried logging on this morning with my usual email and password and it only said that it is invalid, Please help me get back my dropbox it has important files on there.

Good afternoon.
I have an account with the Professional package, two weeks ago I received an email stating that my access was changed, and later a personal letter came to the messenger that my account was hacked and demanding a ransom.
Please help me regain access to my account

Hi @SMMSTUDIO, thanks for messaging the Community.

 

I'm sorry to hear about this situation. Do you still have access to the original email address associated with that account, and that no one else can access that email?

 

If so, I’d recommend getting in contact with our support team directly to look into this matter in more detail. 

 

You can do this by opening an incognito/private browsing window, while not signed into your account, and accessing this link.

 

From there you should be able to contact support. Make sure to enter the same email you use to login to Dropbox. Thanks!
