My dropbox basic account is disabled

Explorer | Level 3

Hi, I have a dropbox basic account and I use it frequently. Yesterday I received an invitation to upgrade to a business account from my colleague who has a business account and I follow the steps without reading them.  then he shared a folder with me. suddenly dropbox folder name on my computer becomes E-Files dropbox and it becomes inaccessible, and whenever I try to login to my account it tells me that the account is disabled.

what can I do te enable my account.

Dropboxer

Hi @ManarAhmad, thanks for messaging the Community!

It sounds like you’ve joined a Dropbox Business team, and the team admin has either suspended or deleted your account from the team, meaning you won’t be able to access your account any longer.

I’d recommend getting in contact with the team admin to recover your account, if this deletion occurred within the last 7 days.

Afterwards, if you don’t want to remain part of that team any longer, you can ask the admin to convert your account back to a personal one.

Hope this helps!
