If you don't find the user you referred under the Earn more space section in your Plan tab on the website, could you please ensure that they created a Dropbox account with the email address you sent the referral to?
If they did, could you confirm for me if they've already signed in to their Dropbox account through the desktop app?

My friend has done all steps above and Dropbox has noticed that [The personal information was removed to align with our ] has installed Dropbox and your personal Dropbox has been awarded extra space. Thanks for your referral!". However, my dropbox has not been award extra space. Why?

Probably they have not installed the app on their desktop or are missing another step.
Please review the steps they need to take here to get referral space.
If not, have you maybe earned all 16 GB you can earn?
If they have done everything listed in the above article and you have not earned 16 GB already, you can create a ticket with our support and we will help you with this referral space issue.
We unfortunately, do not see your account via the Community for privacy reasons.
