Hello, I am inquiring about how I could figure out the amount of data I used? And I need to know how can I downgrade my account?

Hey there @powermoves - welcome to our forums!

Now, as per your inquiries, note that you can view your current quota usage on the following page: https://www.dropbox.com/account/plan

If you're on an individual account and plan (either Dropbox Plus or Professional), you'll need to follow these steps to downgrade or cancel your subscription:

  1. Sign in to dropbox.com
  2. Click your avatar or profile picture.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Click Plan.
  5. At the bottom of the page, choose Cancel plan.

For additional notes click below:

Spoiler
  • If you downgrade, you'll still finish any time remaining on your current subscription before the Dropbox quota granted by the upgrade expires. After downgrading, your account will no longer automatically renew and no further renewal charges will be applied from that account.
  • If downgrading causes your account to go over quota, your files will no longer sync between the devices you've connected to your Dropbox account. But Dropbox won't delete any of the files already there.
  • If downgrading causes your account to go over quota, you won't be able to add new files to your Dropbox (or restore deleted files) until there's enough free space in your available quota to do so.

If you're on a teams plan, the Team's admin can downgrade the team from the Admin Console on this page:  https://www.dropbox.com/team/admin/billing/manage

I hope this information helps and please let me know if there's anything else I can assist with from my end.

Hey @powermoves,

Here are the steps to see how much storage you are currently using and have.

  1. https://www.dropbox.com/h Go to your Dropbox
  2. Click your avatar in the upper right hand corner (the little circle picture)
  3. You will see how much space you have used vs have available.

This article will explain downgrading: https://www.dropbox.com/help/billing/cancel-dropbox-plus
