I just got a message that I need to upgrade, so was wondering how you manage your usage on a macbook?  Is there a dropbox app that lets you view it?

Hey there @mikep3 - how are you today?

I am not exactly sure what you're trying to do as the management of your space usage on your Macbook is something handled by your device's Operating System, yet, I wanted to let you know that you can see your account's quota under your account's plan tab online at: https://www.dropbox.com/account/plan

If you just want to download our desktop app on your Macbook, you can do this from the following page: https://www.dropbox.com/downloading

More information on our desktop application below:

Spoiler

The Dropbox software is designed to watch your Dropbox folder and sync any files placed in the folder. Your Dropbox folder is just like any other folder on your hard drive, but with syncing features.

To take advantage of Dropbox, move or copy files into the Dropbox folder. This will place the files into the Dropbox folder. Once Dropbox sees changes in the Dropbox folder, it automatically syncs the new changes to Dropbox servers and to any other computer linked to your account.

If you'd like to free up space locally on a computer using our desktop app, take a look at our selective sync or Smart Sync options. I've included two articles about them below:

1. Selective sync: https://www.dropbox.com/help/syncing-uploads/selective-sync-overview

2. Smart Synchttps://www.dropbox.com/help/desktop-web/smart-sync

Let me know if this helped please!
