Hello, I have sent an invitation to my father to use Dropbox. He is using it now.
But... I do not get the free 500 mb.
The message is that I do not get it because the new user account was registered from the same computer or IP address as my account.
That is correct because my father was in my house when I invited him to use Dropbox and installed Dropbox on his laptop. So it is true that we have the same WAN/router IP address. How can I still get the free 500 MB? There is no way to contact support.
Try this in your father's laptop: 1. uninstall Dropbox; 2. open the invitation link using the browser; 3. log in your father's DB account via browser; 4. download and install Dropbox again; 5. once you've installed it, just access and set up Dropbox normally.
