No notification on demotion to Dropbox basic

I upgraded to Dropbox Plus some time ago but suddenly and without any contact with me I found I had been demoted to Dropbox Basic and in the process lost all my information. I had no notification from Dropbox, and if it was time to pay there was no email, nothing to inform me of the situation. I would have happily paid if I had been sent an invoice.  I am now very concerned about the loss of my data and wonder if anyone else had suffered a similar fate and whether they had managed to solve it. I also find the support from Dropbox very shoddy. It took me ages to find this page.

Hi @KatieSusan, thanks for taking the time to message us.

 

I understand your concern over your files. Downgrading from a paid would not result in deleted files. Could you check if you see any deletions here, or recent events? Was the plan on a Plus plan according to the payments page?

 

If you're not seeing anything, then it's possible you might have another Dropbox account which is still on the Plus plan you mentioned. You could try looking up the account using the card lookup tool.

Mt account altered from Plus to Basic without informing me

I am so fed up with Dropbox. I am trying to understand why my account was altered from Dropbox Plus to Dropbox Basic and in the process why all my files have disappeared. Their help processes are appalling - I just want to talk to someone to find out why they did this and what happened to my files. 

Has anyone any idea whsat |I should do so get some sense from them.

Have you tried the steps I suggested previously to locate any missing files, or payment history?
