Onedrive data on C and D drives. How can I remove data on C:?

Explorer | Level 4

Using windows 10 , my computer has 2 drives, C: 103 GB and D: 1T, I moved the dropbox file to my D: drive.  All my files default to the D: drive, however, Dropbox and data are still on my C drive even after I moved it.  What do I need to do to remove this and gain much-needed space? Please advise?

Hey there @ehillman3308 - welcome to the Forums!

I think I just replied to you on another post, sorry for repeating myself here.

Supposing that you moved your Dropbox Folder to your D drive the right way and your desktop app is showing "Up to date" now - meaning that you're fully synced, then you should be able to delete them from your C drive without causing any issues to your Dropbox account!

I hope this helps and let me know how this goes for you!

I have moved my files to the D drive,,,,, But the space ICON still shows that the C drives is almost full.

Can I delete the files from the C drive?  ( now that the pref is set to D ?)

( and WHY is the D drive not showing up as fuller as a  color Bar?

Thank you  for any helpmoved.JPG

Hello @katyq! Thanks for the screenshot and for writing about your experience.

If your Dropbox folder is on your D you can feel free to deleted files or folders from your C drive. I understand that you want to delete files/folders from your C that are not in Dropbox. Correct? or do you still see the Dropbox folder under your C drive?
