Dropbox can't charge you unless you've provided them with your billing details. The most common cause is signing up for a trial and then not cancelling it before it automatically changes to a full account. By starting a trial and providing your billing information, you're authorizing Dropbox to charge you. Dropbox simply cannot charge you unless you've given them your billing information.
If you have a charge on your account that you wish to dispute, contact Support.
