Personal Drop box is full, but not our Business account

Personal Drop box is full, but not our Business account

I am in my personal account. Its letting me know its full. But it shows i have space. A co worker with a business account has invited me to a folder, but i am unable to see it since my personal account is full. I am confused.. please advise.

Shared folders do take up quota in your account, so this is what you're experiencing. That article provides more information on what can be done in this instance.

 

@anonymous, please note that file the deleted files page don't add to your quota.

Hello @kmw123 

 

Have you made sure that you have deleted any files in the "Deleted Files" https://www.dropbox.com/deleted_files portion of your account? Files in that section of your account count against your storage limit. Also, please note, that any shared files count against your storage limit. For example lets say that the storage/space taken up in your account is 1.95 GB and your account has a storage cap at 2GB. If someone shared with you a file thats .051 GB or more then you won't be able to add it to your account since you don't have enough space to add it. I hope this helps!

great it was helpfull solved my issue because i always think that shared folder doesnt take any space
