Required to upgrade account

Helpful | Level 5

I had to take my laptop back to factory settings, I am trying to reinstall Dropbox but it will not allow me to do it, It says I need to upgrade to business because I can only run 3 devices. Up until last week I had no problem with the devices I have. I have the basic plan using .95 GB of 5.2 GB. I have more than enough space why can't I get it loaded and sync again?

A Basic account can only have three devices linked to it. If you're reinstalling, Dropbox is likely seeing the new install as a new device. You can go to your Security page to remove unneeded devices from your account. If you have more than three, you'll need to bring it back down to two before you can add another.
