I responded to an email that I assumed to be authentic to Dropbox. Cut and pasted below. Since I have been over the limit for some time now, I decided to upgrade to the Professional level (3 TB) for $199.00 The offer included 30 days free, so I should not be billed
until 9/26. I had to leave after completing the purchase and just got back to verify all the details and take advantage of all the new space. When I log in I am still informed I am over the limit on the Basic plan and I cannot find anywhere that I signed up for the 3TB. If the charge did not go thru that is great, but is there a way to verify this was a legit Dropbox offer/transaction? Has anyone else responded to the email upgrade offers? If it is legit, shouldn't the space be available now?
:exclamation_mark: Hi Roger, your Dropbox is full but we can help
Your Dropbox is no longer syncing because it's full. That means we can't back up new files you add to your Dropbox or sync to your other devices.
To get your Dropbox back to shape, upgrade your Dropbox today and get up to 3 TB (3,000 GB) of space and powerful sharing features.
Thanks. Yes, I did input my credit card info. I did not receive a confirmation email. Since they were not going to charge my card until Sept 26, I cannot see any activity on my card yet. I guess that is a good thing, but not having access to the extra storage gives me some concern. I am hoping the transaction did not go thru, I guess the safe thing is to wait until Sept 26 to see if I am actually charged before repeating the process.
