Saving files after subscription expires

Saving files after subscription expires

New member | Level 2

Hello. I'd like to purchase Dropbox Pro Subscription to upload 150GB of files. I have a few questions about Dropbox system:

1)Will my files be stored there indefinitely and securely if the subscription ends and I don't pay for it for a while?

2)Will I be able to download my stored files without purchased subscription?

3)Is it possible to secure your account by adding additional emails, secret questions, phone number etc?

Hey there @mastertigra, thanks for posting!

If your account is downgraded and contains more data than the Basic account storage limit, your files won't be affected or removed from your account.

Being over the storage limit though will prevent your account from being able to sync or save any changes to your files.

You will still have access to view them online though and download your files.

For additional security, have you checked out the two step verification options?

Hope this helps!
