Signing into Dropbox from an unrelated iPhone app fails

For background, I have had a Dropbox account for at least 10 years. Very light user, need it every couple years. I was able to sign in to Dropbox successfully in Safari on my MacBook. I'm trying to transfer data from one iPhone to another iPhone using Dropbox inside an app (Road Trip) that allows synching via Dropbox using a Google sign in or direct. Direct method (don't have Google) email or password fails (tried several times, slowly). What now? Try setting up a new account? Possible bad Dropbox implementation and should contact developer?

The same implementation also gives this option "New to Drobox? Get the App!" Not sure why this would help but just more background.

Sorry, never mind! Just discovered that back in 2008 when I redid my account, I used a Mac unique suggested password I found in Keychain. Just assumed the website account password would have been the same password. Never again! Difficult password to enter into an iPhone. Twice! I think it was the first time I've ever used that Mac feature - trying to save time. Not worth it unless I want to sign my life over to iCloud.
