Someone changed the password of our account. How can I find out more about it?

New member | Level 2

I share a dropbox account with my students at the university.

I suspect that one my students changed the password.

Is there a log about these type of actions. Can I find out somehow who could it be?

Thanks,

Julia

In your Dropbox safety settings you can check which devices that have connected to the DropBox-account  at the moment and if only a single person is logged on at the moment, then it is most likely that person: Otherwise there is no solution.

It's not possible to identify who changed the password of an account. This is one of the dangers of sharing account information. ANYONE with the information can take over the account as their own, preventing anyone else from accessing it. Dropbox Basic, Plus and Professional accounts are intended for individuals, and are not meant to be shared in that manner.
