Space just disappeared??

Space just disappeared??

Yesterday I was at 83% capacity. Today it says I’m 3 GB over my limit...I’ve barely added any files in the last day. What has happened?

Hi there @Ryan A.3, thanks for reaching out to us. 

 

Could the additional space have come from a shared folder being updated, or that you previously had redeemed promotional space that just expired? 

 

Could you have a look at your events page and Plan tab for some additional information on what could have happened?

Have you had a look at your Plan tab for more information on the matter?

It ended up being the 5GB quicken promotion that only lasted one year.  Once that year was up the 5GB disappeared.  The disappointing thing is you would think dropbox would notify you that either it is ending soon or that is what has happened.  Anytime your space allottment changes, you should be notified.
