Switch from plus to family

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know why it doesn’t seem to be possible to switch from “plus” to “family”? I currently have a plus account and have been dissatisfied for some time. Family would be a perfect fit for me and it would be great to be able to switch.

Do I have to create a completely new account for this? Is family not yet supported in Germany (and other countries)? Do I perhaps have to request the switch in some way or another (not directly obvious from my account upgrade page)?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions and tips!

Hi @_Tony_, thanks for posting on the Community!


Currently the Dropbox Family plan is available to a limited audience, so if you're not seeing the option to upgrade then this would be why.


The team is working to bring this option to all users on a Dropbox Plus plan.
