I have a problem logging in after I did phone reset.
At first I thought that maybe I am entering wrong password so I did password reset as well but it doesn't help.
I waited for hours but nothing is changing.
I tried to uninstall and install app again but problem still persists.
Update: i managed to solve the problem by logging in from my computer and changing the email address. I haven't tried to change back to the old email, to see if that solves the issue, because i have plenty of emails and i really don't care which one i use for dropbox. And i was glad i finally managed to make it work anyway 🙂
I tried Abels solution and it did not work for me...
I have just created a dropbox account for a client and am getting the same message from her android phone.
same problme here! changing the email did not work for me!
same problem with me. had to reset my HTC. When installed dropbox app again wont now let me sign in....."too many attempts" despite using the correct login and password.
Really frustrating.....
Had NO PROBLEMS for 4 years. And now this has come up out of the blue.

Same problem here using new phone. Can log in on pc no problem.
Many other storage apps.
I am taking all of my stored items out of dropbox
Same here, feels like some sort of security upgrade that's gone wrong
Same problem and I only have one device connected.
I erased the others in case that was the problem...
